Check before you pay

What the public sources don't settle — and the questions to put to the school in writing.

Things that don't line up

Not necessarily a problem — but worth asking about in writing.

  • ATPL prices

The Integrated ATPL is listed at €86,500 and the Airline Pilot Programme, which has more flight, simulator and theory hours, at 'from €79,500'. The ME/IR page's enquiry form mentions €80,000 for ATPL training.

  • Fleet size

The homepage lists 26 aircraft by type, the courses page says 27, and other pages say more than 30. The DA62 appears on course pages but not in the homepage list.

  • Training split

One page says 95% of training is in Málaga and 5% at Vélez-Málaga; another says 90% and 10%. The facilities page says most of the fleet is based at La Axarquía.

  • Facility size

The facilities page says more than 3,000 m²; course pages say more than 5,000 m².

  • B737 type training

The homepage mentions full type training on A320 and B737, but AESA's E-ATO-316 approval lists the A320 type rating only. The B737 element appears to be the school's own FTTC course.

  • PPL minimum age

The PPL FAQ gives both 16 (with parental consent) and 17.

  • A320 base training

The type-rating page says '4 to 6' touch-and-gos in one place and 6 in others.
